In a recent event, Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced the launch of the Avenis 125 scooter in the Indian market. The new scooter will be competing against the likes of Hero Maestro Edge, Honda Grazia 125, Aprilia SR 125, TVS NTorq and Honda Grazia.
Power, Technology and Features
The new Avenis 125 will be offered alongside Suzuki’s already running models such as Access 125 and Burgman Street 125. This new scooter features a futuristic design and offers a host of utility features. Talking about the Avenis’ power, the scooter is equipped with a fuel-injected motor that churns 8.6 bhp at 6,750 rpm with a peak torque of 10 Nm at 5,500 rpm. It has the frequently used 125 cc air-cooled single-cylinder with FI technology. The weight is about 106 kgs.
As per Suzuki, the company aims to target GenZ with the new Avenis 125. To appeal to customers, Suzuki has given this scooter a muscular front apron and a sporty look. On the rear, the twin LED taillights are sharp with heavily bike inspired turn indicators.
In terms of technological offerings, the Avenis has SEP Technology alongside the Suzuki Ride Connect. The latest fully digital instrument cockpit is a sheer delight for the customers as it is Bluetooth enabled. It allows riders to connect it with a smartphone and allows them to utilize some cool features such as WhatsApp and SMS direct display, incoming calls, missed calls, unread SMS alert, phone battery level display, estimated time of arrival and turn by turn navigation.
Bookings, Pricing and Colours
The company officials have informed that the scooter will be available in the market by mid-December this year. However, the bookings are already open for interested buyers. According to Suzuki, the price of this scooter will be in the range of 86,700 to 87,000 INR (ex-showroom) Delhi. The scooter will be available in two trims: Standard and Race, with the latter being priced slightly above the former. The new Suzuki Avenis will be available in four attractive colours for you to choose from White, Grey, Orange and Blue. Moreover, the Triton Blue MotoGP edition will also be available as the top of the range offering.
